Lim Clinic and Surgery was founded in 1972 in Chai Chee by Dr Lim Liang Boon. In the beginning, the total staff consisted of only Dr Lim and two clinic assistants. During that time, Lim Clinic & Surgery operated seven days a week, with the only off session on Sunday night. The practice grew over the next two decades and expanded to include four doctors and seven clinic assistants. In 1998, Lim Clinic and Surgery doubled its floor space by taking over the adjacent unit and renovated the entire clinic. The current practice has scaled down to Dr Lim and medical locums.
